Hey guys, I am new here...i became a member because i heard there was a reallly good fanfic on here...but i can see there are a million of them LOL. I posted this on the ABC message boards..andi am going to post my fanfic here also because i want to see if others like it too. It is about all of the characters in High school.

Scene opens to Merideth in her room getting ready.

Ellis: Merideth, come on! You are going to be late for school!

Merideth: I’m coming, I’m coming!

Merideth is walking down the stairs.

Ellis: oh, you look great! Ok, come on I’ll drop you off at school on my way to work.

Scene goes to Merideth and Ellis pulling up in front of the high school.

Ellis: You have a good day ok dear?

Merideth: [distracted by the hottest sophomore boy in the school] yea, a-huh....ok bye mom. [ she gets out of the car]

Merideth is walking up the stairs still staring at the guy when he starts walkingup to her.

Guy: Hey, you new here?

Merideth: .... huh?...oh... no... I am a freshman.

Guy: really? Because you look like you could be a senior.

Merideth [ giggles] : well, im not...

Guy: oh ok, well anyway my name is Derek.

Merideth: I’m Merideth..Hi Derek.

Derek: Hi...[ they are each staring into each other’s eyes]


The school bell rings.

Merideth: oh... well I have to go, I’ll see you around ..Derek.

Derek: yea..see ya, Good-bye Merideth.

Merideth runs into her home room class and sits down next to a blond perky looking girl and in front of a mopey dark and twisty girl.

Perky girl: Hi, I am Izzie Stevens ...I can’t believe we are in high school!

Twisty girl: oh shut up Izzie, leave her alone ..she seems .. odd..

Merideth turns around : I am not odd! You are odd!

Twisty girl : no I am Cristina Yang. ..Not odd

Perky girl: just ignor her... she is always like that.

Merideth: Oh, ok ... well my name is Merideth, Merideth Grey.

Teacher: Ok class settle down. I want you guys to switch class when the bell rings, but right ow just make sure you have everything and be quiet because I am trying to get some work done.

Merideth: I think SHE is odd.

Izzie: yea I heard that she feel of a horse and hit her head or something.

Cristina: Oh my god! What if she has blood clots or massive bleeding? Oh man that would be soo awesome to operate on!

Merideth: you want to become a surgeon?

Cristina: Are you kidding me of course!...

Izzie: yea I am thinking about it too.

Merideth: Oh, I want to be one too but my mother doesn’t “approve” of it.

Cristina: WHOA WHOA WHOA wait a minute here!, do you mean you are Merideth GREY... as in Ellis Grey’s daughter?

Merideth: yep.

Izzie & Cristina: OMG!!!!!

Cristina: that is soo cool! Do think I could meet your mom soemtime? She is liky my idle!

Merideth [laughing a little] umm yea sure..as a matter of fact do you guys want to come voer today? My mom won’t be home but somtimes I feel alone in the house.

Izzie: yea that will be soo much funn!

Cristina: yea, sure

Bell rings and they all go to there next classes.

Merideth is walking to her next class and runs into a boy.

Merideth: [dropping her books] Oh, hi I am so sorry .

Boy: oh no, that’s ok...here I’ll help you.

Merideth: Thanks, I’m Merideth Grey.

Boy: Hey, George O’Malley.

They stand up and George looks at her and into her eyes.

George: wow.

Merideth: What?

George: you have the most beautiful eyes ever!
Merideth: Oh, well thank you

Cristina [walking up]: George come on!

Merideth: you two know each other?

Cristina: yea, sadly.. I have lived next door to him since I was six.

George: Why is that so sad?

Cristina: because, because you are Bambi.. Living next to you and haveing to put up with you and miss perky pants my hole life is sad.

Izzie [ walking up too]: Oh shut up Cris!

Merideth: well..umm [ feeling awkward] I better get going to my class now.

George: what do you have first?

Merideth : English

Izzie: OH! Me too! Common lets walk together!

Cristina: oh god! To much happiness I have to leave [ George runs after her because they have the same class ]

George: Cristina, wait!

Scene goes to Merideth and Izzie getting seats in the class room.

Merideth sits in front of Izzie.
Izzie turns to notice that her true crush is sitting next to her.

Izzie:[poking mer In the back.] OMG!

Merideth: what?!

Izzie: It’s Alex Karev!
Merideth: Who?

Izzie: He used go to my elementary school... I have had a crush on him scince 6th grade! Oh no mer! What do I do?

Merideth: Just relax.. And you look fine..omg he is looking at you .. Shh just act cool

Izzie: yea ok..acting cool..

Scene goes to Cristina and George in chem. Class

George: Hey Cris you want to be my chem. partner?

Cristina: No.

George: please? I don’t want to me paired up with olivia... I wouldn’t know what to say to her.

Teacher [ assigning chem. Partners]: Julia & Bryan, Kalee & Megan, Olivia & Josh.

George [ saying to Cristina]: oh thank god!

Cristina: UGH!

Teacher: and I think that is it... no ..wait ... we still have George.. And Cristina , Cristina Yang!

Cristina: oh my lord! God is definatly punishing me!

George: YESS! the lord loves me!

Scene goes to Merideth after a few classes at her locker before lunch.
Derek walks up.

Derek: would you like to sit with me today?

Merideth: excuse me?

Derek: sit with me.[smiling]

Merideth: I don’t think that would be such a great idea...

Derek: why not, it’s not like I am a teacher or your boss or anything.

Merideth: Well I guess one lunch won’t hurt.

Derek: Ok, lets go.

Cristina [ walking up]: whoa! Merideth meets....hmm MCDREAMY! Yea.. on her first day of school and gets to eat lunch with him already? Wow!

Izzie [ pulling Cristina away]: CRISTINA!

Cristina: what?!

Derek: well... mcdreamy? Hmm doesn’t sound half bad! [ laughing and can’t take his eyes off of Merideth.]

Merideth: you arn’t that dreamy!

Derek: well I disagree!

Merideth: Lets just go.

Scene goes to Cristina and Izzie eating lunch, George is walking up to them to sit down.

George: hey were is Merideth?

Cristina: Sitting with McDreamy.

Izzie & George: WHO!?!

Cristina: McDreamy... the Derek Shepherd!

Izzie: you’re kidding!

Cristina: Nope! [ pointing over to Merideth and Derek eating].

George: god, what does he gave that I don’t have?

Cristina: Everything.

Izzie: He is pretty hott!

George: eww

Cristina: George shut up and eat!

Scene cuts to Merideth and Derek eating lunch.

Derek: so, good food.

Merideth: it’s cafeteria food, what are you talking about?

Derek: well if you want to become a surgeon you better get used to it.

Merideth: How did you know I wanted to be a -

Derek: I heard Cristina and Izzie talking about your mom.

Merideth: oh... ok

A guy walks up to the table.

Guy: wow Derek! Way to go! Im sure you can get some a.ss out of her by the end of the week!

Merideth: excuse me?!

Derek: Mark shut up and go eat with Addison today!

Merideth: Mark? Addison? Who? What’s going on?

Mark: oh nothing honey!.. Derek chose good! Wow Der man...You move fast after a fight!

Merideth: huh?

Derek: lets not talk about that right now mark! Go and eat over there!

Mark: Ok, well just to tell you , Addiosn looks pretty mad, like a tiger..

Derek: MARK!!!

Mark: im going im going!

Merideth: I think im ging to go and get ready for my class now..
[ gets up and leaves]

Derek: Merideth, WAIT!

Cuts Back to the other table.

Cristina: oh- my–god

Izzie: wow.

George: what?

Cristina: omg george just ... just go sit over there!

Izzie: did she.. Did he... omg

Cuts to Derek walking up to Mark.

Derek: why the he11 did you do that!

Mark: do what?

Derek: you know what im talking about!

Mark: oh.. Tell your booty call girl she looked nice?

Derek: Mark! Can we talk over there?

Addison: why Derek? Is there something don’t want me to here?

Derek: Addison stay out of this?

Addison: I don’t think so, we have been together for 3 years! And we have one little fight.. And you just want to throw it all away?

Mark: ouch!

Derek: omg! Addison, it wasn’t just a little fight! You were kissing mark! [ yelling louder now so people can hear - Merideth was throwing her tray out and turns around she is staring in disbelief.] You are the one who threw it all out!

Mark: Derek -

Derek: NO mark .... just ... god! .... have a nice time finishing your food. [i/He turns around to walk away and sees merideth staring at him in shock He turns the other direction and walks out. Merideth goes to the bathroom./i]

Scene goes to merideth leaving the bathroom after lunch and.....


Merideth: Oh im sorry [ she bumps into mark!]

Mark: oh thats ok darling!

Merideth: don’t call me that you a.ss

Mark: excuse me?

Merideth: you ruined my lunch with he hottest guy in the sophomore class!

Mark: oh, I am so sorry ... hey maybe you would like to go out with the “REAL” hottest guy in the sophomore class?

Merideth: no , I don’t thin so , acctually I don’t know why I am getting all mad at you... it was just one lunch, its never going to happen again, I don’t ...even like him....

Mark: yes you do.

Merideth: no, I don’t! Seriously! He is way to old for me!

Mark: yea a-huh sure..whatever you say babe.

Merideth: stop calling me those kind of names you perv! Go away!

Merideth walks up to her locker and Mark walks the other direction. Izzie and Cristina heard the hole conversation from the bathroom. They walk up to her locker.

Cristina: so what was going on there?

Izzie: common Cristina, we should leave her alone. Give her some space.

Merideth: I don’t know what you guys are talking about. I am fine...and I don’t need any space.

Cristina: yea you do.

Izzie: ok , well what classes do you have left?

Merideth: Study hall and then Chem.

Izzie: oh, I have chem. With you!

Cristina: and I think you have study hall with Bambi. [ starts laughing ]

Merideth: Bambi?

Cris & Iz : George.

Merideth: oh, ok well I have to go now...bye guys [ starts runnign to her class]

Izzie: wait Mer! Are we still coming over today?

Merideth: you bet! Bye!

Scene goes to Merideth walking into study hall.
She sees George and starts to walk up to him when Derek comes up and passes her while putting his and briefly on her back.

Derek: hey, I wanna talk.

Merideth: [ not knowing if she should talk to him or go sit by george because he looked so happy to see her. ] umm .... ok .

They go to sit in the corner part or the class.

George is sad.
( authors note: I am not going to keep making George the loser guy who doesn’t get to talk to the girl he likes in private.. Just wait...)

Derek: ok, I am so sorry about what happened at lunch...

Merideth: that’s ok Derek, we can’t be together anyway.

Derek: and why not? [ giving mcdreamy smile and looking into her eyes]

Merideth [looking back at him] :because.....[starts to realize she actually likes him..] we..can’t..we.. Just....no...

Derek: [ leans in .. And he gives her .. A... KISS!!]

Merideth: [ kisses back the breaks away] omg! That was bad!

Derek: you are the first one to say I was a bad kisser!

Merideth: no not you, we shouldn’t have kissed! That was wrong!

Derek: Oh, really because I thought It was fine!

Merideth: oh my god! Derek! We can’t do this!

Derek: can’t we just try? I mean common what will it hurt?

Merideth: fine....we will try it out... [ looks down]

Derek: [ picking her chin up] we will be good. [ gives her / air/peck kiss on her cheek]

George can see all of this from the other side of the room. He Is hurt even though he isn’t in a relationship with Merideth.

Study hall finishes. Merideth is on her way to chem. To tell izzie what happened, she will tell Cristina when they are at her house.

Merideth and Izzie become Chem. Partners and start talking.

Izzie: so [laughing] what did you do with George during study hall?

Merideth: ..well that’s what I want to talk to you about, I didn’t sped it with George...

Izzie: Huh?

Merideth: I spent it with...

Izzie: WITH WHO!?!

Merideth: Derek.

Izzie: no!

Merideth: yea.

Izzie: OMG!

Merideth: yep.

Izzie: so...what happened?

Merideth: Well I got my McDreamy on the first day of school.

Izzie: no!

Merideth: are we gunna do this again?

Izzie: sorry... but...so... you’re going out with THE Derek Shepherd?

Merideth: yea...

Izzie: ok, I admit he is HOT! But don’t you think he is a little to old for you?

Merideth: that’s what I though, but I don’t know how to explain it. I just get lost in is eyes and I feel like someone else when I’m with him, I feel..I think I feel like me...?

Izzie: well I guess that’s ok... feeling like yourself with someone older then you is good... right?

Merideth: IZZIE!

Izzie: ok sorry!

Merideth: that’s fine... I can’t believe I have practically have three best friends and a boyfriend , only on the first day of school...

Izzie: well you have a great start of the school year that’s for sure!

Cuts so George cutting in front of Derek to talk to him.

Derek: excuse me.

George: no.

Derek: who are you anyway?

George:..I’m George O’Malley

Derek: may I help you?

George: I just wanted to tell you that Merideth is someone special...she is delicate. She deserves someone good.

Derek: are you saying I’m not good enough for her?

Geroge: no, just...

Derek: and how do you know her so well anyway?!

George: I don’t it’s just that -

Derek: that’s what I thought.. Move out of my way kid.

George is left there in shock, he thinks he has to do something because he doesn’t want to see the girl he “loves” get hurt.

Scene cuts to Merideth and Cristina waiting for Izzie after school.

Cristina: god! Were is she! I want food! We are going to eat at your house right? I mean you do have food?

Merideth :[laughing] yes Cristina, I do have food, that you can eat.

Cristina: God! Were is she, im going to hurt her!

What they don’t know is that she is with...

Alex: so, I saw you staring at me in Chem.

Izzie: oh, you did?

Alex: yes, and I lied it!

Izzie: really...

Alex: yes, so maybe we can hook up sometime!

Izzie: I would like that [ giggling in a flirty way ]

Alex: ok , can I have you number?

Izzie reaches in to her notebook and tears a little piece of paper out to write down her number.

Izzie: here ya go!

Alex: ok , ill talk to you later babe!

Izzie: [ thinking: omg! He called me “babe”!] Oh man! I have to go meet Cristina and Merideth!

Merideth: well I guess you can hangout with us if out want to spend you afternoon with 3 freshmans!

Derek pulls her away for a second to talk privatly...

Derek: Mer, I don’t care about you being a freshman! I really really like you! And you friends are cool too!

Merideth: yea but are you sure you wouldn’t want to be with you friends?

Derek: are you trying to get rid of me?[ smiling]

Merideth: [ smiling] oh, no NEVER!

Derek: [ does his mcdreamy laugh and... pulls her in for a kiss!

Merideth:[kisses back then pulls away]: wow, 3 friends, a boy friend and kiss all on my first day of high school! I think im gunna like this place!!!

Derek:[ mcdreamy laugh] lets go now.

Cristina and Izzie are walking behind thm in total shock!

Cristina: wow.

Izzie: tell me about it

They get to Merideth’s house and all walk into her living room and sit down.

Merideth: can I get anyone anything?

Cristina: FOOD!

Izzie: CRISTINA!

Cristina: what?

Derek: I’ll help you in the kitchen.

Merideth: k.

They walk into the kitchen and Izzie & Cristina are listening out side the door.

Derek: you have a nice house.

Merideth: Thanks, it’s all because of my mom .

Derek: that’s cool. [ they are staring into each other’s eyes and then HE KISSES HER AGAIN!]

Merideth: [ kisses back, and pulls away] is this going to be a regular thing?

Derek: would that be bad?

Merideth: no, not at all!

Derek: we should be heading back out there now.

They get chips and drinks then walk back out.

Cristina: Finally!

Izzie: you guys look so cute together!

Derek: Thank you!

Merideth: [ laughs, she feels so good with Derek but a part of her still isn’t sure if what they are doing is right.]

All of them watch a movie, talk,laugh and have fun.

Izzie: well I think it’s time we should be leaving.

Cristina: It is?

Izzie: omg.

Merideth: ok, well see ya guys tommorow!

Derek: I just got my license, I’ll drive you guys home if you want?

Cristina: yea, cool. Wait, Mcdreamy has his license already?

Derek: yea, it has some thing to do with my birthday.

Izzie: that’s cool, ok well lets go.

Merideth: bye guys!

They walk out and Merideth calls her mom to see what time she is going to be home, Merideth has some where to go and doesn’t want her mom to find out she at night.

Merideth finds out her mom is on call so she changes and leaves the house.

Merideth walks up the walk way to the Door of the person’s house and Knocks.

Person: Hello?

Merideth: Hi, I’m Merideth Grey, I came to talk about Derek.

Person: I know , who you are, I just didn’t know what you wanted. Now I do and I don’t want to talk about it so good- bye![ starts to close the door]

Merideth: Addison! Wait! I want to understand what went on with you guys.
[merideth knew were Addison lived only because she heard her telling someone else in the halls.]

Addison: There is nothing to understand, and it Is none of your business anyway!

Merideth: Please, Addison. I didn’t mean for Derek to leave you! I didn’t even know he was with you! I just thought It was one harmless lunch!

Addison: Oh, so you think that scince you didn’t think anything was going to happen, I’ll tell you? NO! He was mine for three unbelievable years! I thought we were going to be together a lot longer! I knew he couldn’t be the one I was going to marry because he was only my second boyfriend, but I always thought of a future together. Just for fun and now you ruined it! You ruined everything!

All of a sudden they here a voice coming from the side of the house.

Derek: Ok, now stop it!
[ he parked in the back because he couldn’t find a spot in front.]

Merideth: Derek?

Addison: What are you doing here?

Derek: I would like to ask Merideth the same question!?
