Merideth: are you ok?

Derek: I said I was fine.

Merideth: ok .sorry

Derek: Thanks.

Merideth: for what?

Derek: I don’t know, what you did out there.

Merideth: no problem.

Derek: how did you kno-

Merideth: Mark told me at lunch. I’m sorry for you.

Derek: No, it was me actually, I wasn’t spending time with her.

Merideth: ok , but then again who would want to spend time with her.

Derek [ laughs a little ]:Hey Mer?

Merideth: yea?

Derek: you wanna try out being friends?

Merideth: that sounds good. Well I have to get to study hall, I hope I’ll see you there when your done with the nurse.

Derek: me too. Bye.

Derek in the nurses station.

Nurse: Well, it looks pretty bad. There will defiantly be swelling.

Derek: When do you think the swelling will go down?

Nurse: I would say around 4 - 5 days.

Derek: great! [ sarcastically]

Nurse: ok , your free to go, but here take some ice to put on that.

Derek: thanks [ gets the ice and walks out]

Scene goes to merideth and George in study hall.

George: so... Merideth, I wanted to ask you something..

Merideth: yea George? [focusing on her work]

George: would you like to come over to my house this weekend?

Merideth: yea, sure that would be fun.
[ Derek walks into the room and looks for Merideth to go sit by her, she notices him.]

George: and .. Umm ... I was wondering, are you going out with Mark?

Merideth:[looking at Derek]: huh? What George? Oh, yea sure why not.

George: [ feeling sad.]

Derek signals her to go sit by him in the back of the room.

[ gets up and leaves]

George: huh? What?[sees she is going to sit by Derek] oh, ok bye.... [ sad.]

Merideth: so, what did the nurse say?

Derek: it si going to swell but then get better in 4 - 5 days.

Merideth: oh, that’s good.

Merideth and Cristina walk up.

she gets out and walks up to her house

Merideth gets inside and Derek drives away.

Scene goes to Izzie and Alex walking to Alex’s house.

Izzie: so what are we going to do once we get to your house?

Scene goes to Cristina and George walking home.

George: ok Cristina I know you think I am some annoying little whimp tthat follows you places but I need you advise on this.

Cristina: George

George: no, Listen You never listen to me And after this you won’t have to But now you do I really like Merideth, and I mean really really I want to know if she is going out with mark or Derek. I want to know if she likes me too. I want to know. I have to know.

Cristina: George, Merideth isn’t going out with Mark and she is smart enough to know that going out with Derek right now isn’t the best thing.

Merideth: Derek, I thought we were just going to be friends?

Derek: yea I know, we can talk at the party and things. You know, become closer friends. So want to?

Merideth: umm yea sure. Can I invite Cristina and Izzie and Alex?

Derek: ummm [ sounding disappointed because he didn’t want then to be just friends and tonight he was going to try and change that, but he knows she wants to be friends] yea that’s fine!

Merideth: ok, are you sure?
Derek: yea, that’s fine.

Merideth: oh, and George too?

Derek: [ getting a little mad] yea, that’s fine too.

She goes ups stairs to her room to pick out clothes and call everyone.

Scene goes to Izzie and Alex watching the movie.

Alex: this is a good movie.

Merideth: ummmm ok ... I just wanted to know if you wanted to go to a party tonight?

Izzie: umm yea sure h/o let me ask Alex

Izzie: wanna go to a party?

Alex: are you kidding me!? Yea!

Izzie [ laughing] : umm yea we will come when is it?

Merideth: 7:00

Izzie: ok I have to go bye.

Merideth was looking for clothes when her cell phone rings again.

Merideth: Hello?

Derek: Hey.

Merideth: oh, um hi.

Derek: I’m sorry did I catch at a bad time?

Merideth: no, just looking for clothes to wear.

Derek: oh, ok good. Hey I was wondering if I could come over a little earlier so we could talk.

Merideth: I thought we were going to talk at the -

It’s Is 6:00 and merideth I waiting for Derek. For some reason she feels really nervous and she has no clue why.
The door bell rings.

Merideth: Hey.

Derek: Hey.

Merideth: common in.

Derek: yea, ummm can we go sit in the living room?

They walk to the living room and sit down on the couch.

Derek: ok, ya... ummm

Derek: ok , Merideth I really like you -

Derek: no, I really really like you and I know we have only known each other for two days and we have already had a hole bunch of drama but I ... really like you.

Derek: and I want to prove to you that I can be a nice guy and that I won’t hurt you.

Merideth: Derek, we... I... we already had this talk. I just want to be friends for right now. That also doesn’t mean I don’t really like you too but like you said we have only known each other for two days and have already so much drama. I do like you, a lot. But can’t we wait until I get used to high school? until I start to fit in more, until I get organized? I just want to be friends right now. Maybe later we can try to be together again.

Derek: Ok,....ok I guess you right.

Merideth: yea, well can you wait down here I just want to finish getting ready quickly then we can go.

Derek: yea sure, go ahead I’ll just be waiting.

Scene goes to Alex walking to Izzie’s house to pick her up.
Izzie answers the door.

Izzie: um Merideth called Cristina and I called George ... so both of them.

Alex: god! George O’Malley? What a freak!

Izzie: excuse me?

Alex: he is such a wimp!

Alex: uhh ya he is! He is so weird and clumsy! Someone like you shouldn’t be hanging out with someone like him.

Izzie: oh really? And what is that supposed to mean!?

Alex: You are a beautiful girl and he is a nerd. You should be a cheerleader. He should stay in the library.

Izzie: no, he is a great guy! He is nice and sweet and you are a pig!

Scene goes to Merideth and Derek arriving at the party. Izzie, Alex, Cristina and George are on the porch drinking (non - alcoholic [sp?] drinks ... for now..).

Derek: I see we are a little late.

Merideth: I guess so.

Cristina: Finally!

Merideth: Sorry guys, I didn’t think we were that late.

Izzie: that’s fine.

George keeps looking at Mer & Der because he thinks something is going on between them

Derek: I’ll go get us something to drink ok?

Merideth: ok.

Derek leaves.

Cristina: so, what’s going on between you two?

Merideth: Nothing, well it was something..or he wanted it to be something..but it is nothing.

Izzie: and you didn’t want it to be something?

Merideth: no I didn’t...well yea..no ..no im sure I didn’t

George: are you sure?

Merideth: yea..im sure.

Alex: soo Izzie, why don’t we go inside?

Izzie: why it’s nice out here.

Alex: I know, but there are couches inside.

Derek: I’m back! [ hands Merideth her drink]

Derek: Coke, Sugar and some schnapps.

Derek: and alcoholic drink .. But it has like only 2% in it.

Addison walks in from the other side of the room.

Some other kid at the party pulled Mark off of Sean.

Sean: she liked me! She liked me a lot better then that fluffed up hairy guy! ... Derek Shepherd!

Addison: STOP IT! STOP IT NOW!

Addison walks up to Mark and takes him into the other room.

Derek walks up to Sean.

Derek: you better leave this house right now! I mean it right now! If you EVER! Talk about or to Addison again! I will come after you!

Sean: you know Addison liked me a lot more then you.

Derek: what are you on?! How could she like you after what you did to her!

Sean: Derek, I was drunk!

Derek: that is no excuse and you were drunk with a much of other girls too! When you hit Addison you scared her for life! You a.ss hole! I was the one who had to go and help her clean it all up I was the one there for her when she needed some one! Get out right now!

Sean: this isn’t over Derek Shepherd!

Derek: oh you bet it is!

Scene goes to all of them [a.k.a Merideth, Derek, Cristina, Izzie, George and Alex.] sitting on the curb in front of the house.

Alex: so, what was that all about?
Derek: Sean was going out with Addison before me and one night he got really drunk and hung out with many girls. Addison really really liked him and told him she wanted to take him home because he was to drunk, then he hit her across the face and they broke up.

Merideth: wow. What and a.ss

Izzie: aw that’s so sad.

George: what happened after?

Derek: well, she came to me. She told me she needed someone andi took care of her. Then we ended up together ... we were together for about 3 years and... it just ended.

Merideth: because of me...

Derek: no, because of mark.

Merideth: yea, sure....

Alex: Mer, he said it was because of mark!

George: yea, don’t blame it on yourself!

Merideth: I guess you guys are right.

Cristina: well that was a great story but I have to get going, common George.

George: coming!

Derek: yea, Mer why don’t I drive you home now.

Merideth: yea good idea, see you guys tomorrow.

Izzie and Alex: bye.

Scene goes to Merideth and Derek in the car pulling up to Mer’s house.

Merideth: so, we are here.

Derek: yep, we are here.

Merideth: yep.

Derek: soo...

Merideth: so.. I guess this is when we say good bye.

Derek: I guess so...

Merideth: ok ...

They look strait ahead sitting in the car.
3 minutes has passed, just sitting there in silence.

Merideth finally breaks the silence : Wanna come in?

Derek: I though.....

Merideth : forget what I said...

Derek: but...what about..

Merideth: look, it’s late, my mom is on call and I don’t want to be alone right now.

Derek: ok , common.

Merideth: ok.

Scene goes to Addison and Mark on the phone that night.

Addison: I really liked what you did for me today but did you really have to tackle him?

Mark: yes, yes I did. Addison! I love you!

Addison: Mark, I can’t I’m still getting over Derek. I’m not in love right now! I’m sorry.

Mark: [ sounding sad] ok, well then I guess I’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

Addison: I guess so, hey I gotta go..

Mark: why?

Addison: sorry..bye!

Ok guys i will give you one little update while my mom is upstairs!!

Scene goes back to Mrideth and Derek back into the house. They are sitting on the counch.

Derek: sooo..

Merideth: would ou like anything to eat?

Derek: well after what happened today i think something in BOTH of our stomaches would be nice.

Merideth [ giggles]: ok, i'll be right back.

Meriedth goes into the Kitchen to get the food.

Scene goes back to Izzie and Cristina on the phone.

Izzie: tonight was, wow.

Cristina: it was soo cool!

Izzie: cristina! you mean!

Cristina: i know right!

Izzie: omg!, oh..i have to go ..i have the other line!

Cristina: ok Iz, c ya tommorow.

Izzie: bye

Izzie: [ picking up the other line]: hello?

vioce: Hello, is Izzie Stevens there?

Izzie: this is she? Who is this?

The voice hangs up.

Scene switches Back to Merideth bringing the food in.

Merideth: All i could find were strawberries and icecream and chocolate.

Derek: ohh! thats seems good to me!

Merideth: ok, well dig in!

Derek is looking at her and wont stop.

Merideth : [ bitting into a strawberrie] umm...do you wnt something?

Derek keep staring.

Merideth: Derek: are you ok?

Derek: Perfect.

He was about to kiss her cheek when Merideth's cell phone rings.

Merideth: Hello?

She starts talking to a person.

Merideth: omg. no! oh god please no!ohh umm ok.. well.. Hello hel -hello?

The connection was lost.

Derek: who was that?

Merideth just sits there in shock.

Derek: Merideth! What’s wrong?!

Merideth: My - M - My, F- Fa...Father.... HE...he...is alive..he...is at...at the hospital..he.... [she starts dazing off and forgets that Derek is there and she is remembering the times she had with her father.]

Derek: Merideth ..do you need a ride to the hospital?...

Merideth: no...yes...no..I have to call my mom...no I can’t I have to stay here.

Derek: but what about your dad?

Merideth: I can’t my mom told me he was dead...I thought he was...I ...I can’t deal with this I can go and see him.

Derek just looks at her and can feel her pain it is killing him inside because he wants to fix it, he wants to ease her pain.

Merideth:....Derek....

Derek: yea?

Merideth: Derek..hold me. [ she leans in on him and rest her head on his shoulder...he picks his shoulder up and puts in around her. They jus sit there while she cries softly.]

Everyone the next day at school. Merideth and Derek aren’t together but have a flirty thing going on... [ kind of like in the second season...is won’t stop thinking about who called her. Merideth is thinking about her dad in the back of her mind all day. Alex is staring at Izzie and George sees a girl in the hall way and if flirting with her.

Scene goes to all of them standing in the hallway before school talking.

Izzie: so last night I got this phone call and is was really scary..

Merideth: who was it?

Cristina: a m0lester!

Merideth: CRISTINA!

Cristina: what?!

Izzie: I don’t know who it was, the asked if Izzie Stevens was there...and then said I know them..and hung up

Derek: I’m sure it was nothing, just someone from school playing a prank.

Izzie: I hope so.

The bell rings and they go to class.

All of a sudden Izzie realizes Merideth isn’t in class, she is worried because maybe she is sick?

Alex: I saw her turn back around while we were entering the class.

Izzie: did she look sick?

Alex: no, she looked happy, like to happy.

Izzie: hmm, I wonder where she is?

Scene goes to Cristina and George.

Cristina: why do I have to have YOU and a chem. Partner?!

George: Because the teacher assigned us hey do you know what the answer to number 5 is?

Cristina: shut up George!

George: What?!?!

Cristina: urrgh!

Scene goes to Merideth and....

Merideth: I can’t believe I am skipping class because of you! [ laughs ]
Derek: Yea, well you know you won’t regret it.

Merideth: Derek........why are we doing this?

Merideth: no, I don’t. You are with Addison -

Derek: merideth -

Merideth: and I can’t do this, I don’t want to be the gossip around school.

Derek: merideth! Listen to me! I am not with Addison andymore!

Merideth: WHAT!?! when did this happen?

Derek: I hadn’t told anyone yet and neither did she. It was last night. When I was talking to yo, holding you I just can’t explain what I felt for you! [grabs her hands] I like you, I really really do. Addison and I are over. She didn’t go crazy either, we both agreed that it was time to just split apart.

Merideth: oh.

Derek: yes.

Merideth: so...

Derek: so we can be together. Don’t feel guilty. We are fine. We are perfect together.

Merideth smiles. Derek grabs her and hugs her. They just stand there hugging each other, holding each other so happily. Merideth can’t get over how relived she is. She knows she said she was to young and not ready for Derek yet but she can’t Help it. She loves him, not likes him. She knows it’s the truth.

Scene goes to Izzie about to meet Alex in front of school. When she walks out the front door she sees Alex and some other girl talking. Alex is laughing and the other girl is giggling while twirling her hair around her finger.
Alex doesn’t know Izzie is watching ways behind him.

Girl: oh, haha you are soo funny!

Alex: oh, well thanks! Hey do you want to hang out later?

Girl: Well how bout now?

Alex: oh, well I have this chick that coming over.

Girl: oh, so there is some other “chick”

Alex: oh no...I just..feel sorry for her I mean no one really likes her..She is pretty and all but soo blond!

Girl: oh yea! I bet she is! [ giggles]

Izzie is furious. She walks up to him.

Izzie: oh, im sorry im such , like, I burden, I mean like I don’t mean to bother you Alex, like sorry! [ pretending to be all stupid]

Alex: Izzie, Come on..I was just -

Izzie: Just what!? Huh? Tell me!

Alex: Izzie -

Izzie: no! Just shut up! Go have fun with ..HER!
Walks away furiously, starting to cry.

Girl: what a B.itch, thank god you don’t really like her.

Alex: umm, hey I’ll catch up with ya later I have to go check something.

Girl: bye honey bun!

Alex: yea...uh bye.

Derek walks up bunhd Merideth right after Cristina walked away.

Derek: Hey Mer.

Merideth: hi. [ looks the other way]

Derek: hey listen....I'm sorry i didn't mean to get into you bussiness...

Merideth: Yea, well then why did you?!

Derek: i just thought it would mean alot to your fatehr if you went to go visit him.

Merideth: You know what Derek!? Just, Please! you don't know how hard this is for me! Just please leave!


Scene goes to Izzie walking home. her cell phone rings. Itis George.

George: Hey Iz, I need you help!

Izzie: george, whats wrong? Where are you I haven't seen you almost all day today?!

George: Olivia, She...I ..I have a date with her today...tonight i mean.

Izzie: Oh! Thats great!

George: NO! it's not! She is CRAZY! CRAZY...soo annoying! Please! Help me!

Izzie: Ok, im on my way home, I'll stop over by your house give me 10 minutes!

George: Oh thank god! See you in 10!

they hang up.

Scene goes to Derek trying to call Merideth Cell phone many many times. Mark walks up. They are infront of school and Merideth is already home.

Mark: Dude, what are you doing?!

Derek: "DUDE" I am trying to call Merideth

Mark : why don't you just drive over to her house?

Derek: Because she is mad at me.

Mark: about what?

Derek: idk..her father is in the hospital..she thought he was dead..and i said she should go an visit her father..and this hole big thing started so now i am trying to call her and say sorry.

Mark: hey, why don't you just come with Addison and I to the spark [ a place were everyone hangs out]

Derek:No, you know i think im just going to go home. Maybe finish my homework and try to call her a little later.

Mark: Dude, leave her alone..let her calm down...just come and hang with us.

Derek: well...maybe for a little bit...

Mark: There's my old buddy! common i'll drive!

Derek: alright.

Scene goes to Izzie at George's house.

George: Izzie, you HAVE to help me. Make me sick. So sick i can't even go to school for a week so i don't have to see her.

Izzie: George, calm down! It's just one date..go ahead and see how it goes.

George: no.

Izzie: uhh.......

George: I CANT!

Izzie: yess u can.


George: HA! you try to go on a date with her!

Izzie: ummm George?

George: sorry.

Izzie: yea. Well just go. ONE date! Common it -

The doorbell rings.

Izzie: I'll get it, just calm down!
goes to answer the door.
It goes to George sitting in a chair holding his knees saying :

Geroge: Please don't let it be Oliva please please. PLEASE!

Izzie and Merideth walk into the room.

George quickly stands up.

George: MERIDETH!?

Meridteh: hey George.

Izzie: Merideth, Where's Derek? Doesn't he drive you home everyday?

Merideth: Derek and I got into a fight...

Geroge: YESS!!! ( thinking he is saying it to himself) Merideth is freeeeeee she is free!

Merideth: umm George?

George: oh, sorry...but you are FREEE soo ahahahah do you want to go out with me?!

Izzie: george?!!?!?

Merideth: (laughs) umm not right now thanks.

Izzie: ok, a fight about what?

Merideth: My dad.

Scene goes to Derek and Mark driving to The Spark.

Mark: Dude, I think some of the Cheerleaders are going to be there. Like Nicole and probably Kalee because Addison is going to be there. You can hook up with one of them, I mean they ARE your age.

Derek: Mark, no.....i don't think im going to hook up...

mark: why not?! I mean it's over with Merideth.

Derek: Who ever said it was over?!

Mark: well you guys got into a fight..and dude..she was two years younger then you.. i mean common...

Derek: Mark, remeber that girl when we were little...her name was Lizzy?

Mark: oh yea...your sister's best friend?

Derek: yea -

Mark: what about her?

Derek: you know how everyone said that we were ment for each other?...you know how i used to liek her when i was little.....

Mark: yea?

Derek: I really really like her..She was the only one all while i was growing up..she still is the one

Mark: What!? You always said that she was a loser and a litttle child.

Derek: yea, well deep down inside...she was the one i really liked.

Mark: what about Addison?!

Derek: Addison was just someone who..i liked but i didn't love. I realized that a little while ago. I realized i LOVED Lizzy when she moved a year ago.

Mark: dude, where is this going?!

Derek: just wait. Lizzy was three years younger then me...but there was something about her...a glow...her laugh..her eyes....just idk ...

Mark: Derek?

Derek: I never told her i loved her... I just thought it was just a little whimpy cruch..

Mark: you told me you loved Addison when you guys started going out!!!

Derek: Addison was my age...she was a friend i hung out with..she was nice..smart..and pretty...but she wasn't Lizzy.

Mark: uhh ok ....and this is going were agian?

Derek: I lost Lizzy..yea i know she was younger but still. Merideth is younger but i can't loser her... If i can't have Lizzy..I have to have Merideth. You know how some people say that when the love of your life is gone? There is sometimes a second one just waiting for you?

Mark: umm sure?

Derek: Lizzy moved..sure i can go see her. But I never did..and i have a feeling inever will.. I love Merideth..she is the second person waiting...

Mark: ok, well whatever you say..lets just have fun now.

They pull into the parking lot and get out of the car.


Scene goes back to Izzie, Merideth and George.

George: You dad?

Merideth: yea my Dad.

Izzie: But i thought...you said he was...dead.

Merideth: That's what i thought...

Izzie: What?!

George: so your dead dad is alive?!

Merideth: yep. The hospital called me one night when I was with Derek, that's how he knows about all of this, and since my mom was in surgery they called me to come down...

George: but you didn't ..did you.

Merideth:..I told them i would...but i just coulnd't..I just can't

Izzie: Well, Merideth it is your desicion but if I were you I would go visit him

Merideth: Yea but he left me!

George: true.

Izzie: like I said you descision.

Merideth: yea your are right, I guess I will think about it.

George: would you like to think about it with me tonight..um say around 8ish?

Merideth: huh?

Izzie:..he doesn't want to go on his date.

Merideth: with Olivia? Why not?

Izzie: she "annoys" him..

Merideth: oh common George!

All right guys! I posted everything i had! I am going to stop writing this fanfic. I dont have many readers here or on the ABC MB. I want to try something differant i think or maybe just stop writing. IDK. i am going to post what i had planned and how it kinda would have ended.

Ok well since i am going to stop writing this fanfic i am going to tell you guys what i had planned.

Mark & Derek and the hang out food place.
Derek and Mark walk in and see around 8 cheerleaders, Addison and 5 other girls. 3 girls walk up to Derek and start flirting with him while Mark goes to talk to Addison. Derek doesn't feel comfortable with the girls because he has Merideth on his mind and he knows he has to talk to her.

Mark convinces [sp?] Addison to date him at the speed of light and they start to leave and hang out.

Derek catching up with Mark and Addison because he doesn't want to stay there. While Mark is taking Derek home Derek explains everything to Addison and tells them why it wasn''t a good idea to take Derek to the diner. Addison, while hearing Derek's story about Merideth, is furious.

George goes on the date with Oliva but then tells her that he doesn't like her. She doesn't react in anyway....she only got up from the table they were eating from and left the resturant. No one heard from her again. (( scary yea i know but nothing bad happened to her..sorry lmao. ))
While the school year goes on George finds a girl named Callie and they start to go out.

Izzie and Alex get closer then ever. In there senior year Alex proposes to Izzie. Izzie says no because she is to young but she still loves him. They then just become very close friends.

Merideth and Derek are in a fight for the rest of Merideth's freshman year. Then a year after that they become friends. and the Merideth's third year of high school Derek and Merideth become boy friend and Girl friend. They are irrisestible [sp?] When Derek has to Graduate him and Merideth are still very close and love each other.

Crisitna and Burke become boyfriend and girl friend and Cristina's sophmore year and Burke's junior year. At Cristina's Senior year ( Burke has already graduated) They just become friends.


ok, i have a feeling I left some people out lol. If you know who i left out then tell me. If you have and questions about this then tell me and i wil explain it.
