Alex Karev sat at a desk doing his own charts for once. All of his interns were busy in multiple surgeries.
"Alex? Alex Karev?" asked the voice of a woman. The voice was so familiar to him. He looked up at the speaker. She was around twenty-eight years old, with light brown hair and a small sprinkling of freckles around her nose and cheeks. "It is you," said the woman. Alex sighed angrily. "Deborah, what are you doing here?" "My father's in the hospital," explained Deborah Scott. "I don't care. You should really go to Mercy West instead," Alex strongly suggested. Deborah made a face of disbelief. Alex and Deborah had dated so long ago, before medical school, in conventional college. Alex had never wanted to see her again, because she had lied about being pregnant with his child. It was exactly like the Rebecca situation, except Deborah had never tried to kill herself. Izzie walked up and put her hand on Alex's shoulder. Alex glared at Deborah, but Deborah played it stupid. "Oh, is this your girlfriend?" "Yes I am." Izzie beamed. "That's great, Alex," Deborah said, smiling. "Who is this?" Izzie asked Alex. "She's nobody. And she was just leaving," stated Alex. Deborah looked into Alex's eyes one last time before beginning to walk down the hallway. "She's your ex, isn't she?" asked Izzie. Alex stood up and pressed his body against Izzie's. "It doesn't matter, Iz. Seeing Deborah really made me realize how much I care about you. I love you, Izzie Stevens." Izzie smiled gently. "I love you too, Alex." "I already knew that," responded Alex. He kissed Izzie. "I know, but I thought I'd tell you again." Izzie looked into Alex's eyes. She smiled and let him kiss her. She let him have her. Forever and ever. -------------------- It's Mack Knight!
 GEORGE: "Okay, I'll be Cristina for you, if you'll be Izzie for me." MEREDITH: "Deal. Derek had a woman in his trailer last night. She was ugly, very ugly, except she was tall and beautiful. And he was naked. GEORGE: "Oh. McDreamy was doing the McNasty with McHottie? That McBastard. Uh, how was that? MEREDITH: "That was good." GEORGE: "Really?" MEREDITH: "Yeah." GEORGE: "Excellent." MEREDITH: "Okay. Chanelling Izzie. Go." GEORGE: "Okay. Um, Callie... she won't forgive me. Uh, she won't talk to me. She dumped me. Which is, uh, I don't care about, you know, at all..." MEREDITH: "Good, because you deserve better. You do. I mean... You. Are. George. I mean seriously. Seriously. Seriously! Was that Izzie optimistic? GEORGE: [pauses] "Yes, it's very Izzie." MEREDITH: "What the hell's happened to us?" |
